Find out more about the Ryman National Enterprise Challenge

The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge (NEC) is the largest schools enterprise challenge in the UK,
Since launching in 2013 the challenge has been delivered to over 60,000 young people from over 200 schools from across the UK. Theo and Ryman Stationery have supported the NEC for several years now and Theo had the following to say of the challenge.

“I am thrilled for Ryman to be once again involved in such an exciting initiative. Last year I was in awe of the children’s enthusiasm and ability to turn an idea into a working concept.

These young entrepreneurs are our future and we need to educate them about business skills from an early age. Business success is very much about common sense and knowledge, not just a lucky break.”

The full day challenge is delivered by the NEC’s expert team of facilitators on a date to suit your school and they will bring everything needed for the day so you can sit back and enjoy the challenge.

Using the power of video including a message from Theo Paphitis, the students work on the challenges set by Inspiring Learning (KS3) and Ryman (KS4). Guided by the NEC team the day culminates in the students pitching their ideas for the chance to represent their school at the National Finals. The finals day is a true celebration of enterprise. The students will get the opportunity to pitch their ideas again before exploring the finals venue and taking part in a variety of different activities.

The afternoon offers high quality entertainment, ‘The Final Challenge Pitches’ and a Q&A with Theo before the winning schools are announced! Win or lose the challenge helps to develop the key skills young people need for the world of work and shows them there is no limit to what can be achieved.
