La Senza's success in the UK has also led to an expansion into the European market, with the Reykjavik store in Iceland opening in 2004 followed by further outlets in Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Malta and Gibraltar. Further plans include a wider expansion programme throughout Europe and the UK, with possible sites including Spain, Italy, Greece and Germany.
To date there are 77 stand alone stores in the UK, 17 concessions within Debenhams, 3 concessions in Northern Ireland, 11 franchises in mainland Europe and 9 stores in Ireland.
La Senza was sold in July 2006 to Lion Capital, a private equity company. Theo remains on the board and retains a minority shareholding.
