The stars come out for Theo’s Red Nose Day Gala Ball

Theo Paphitis’s Comic Relief Ball entertained with Gary Barlow, Fleur East, Jason Manford and more at Troxy in London

On Friday March 10th Theo Paphitis, entrepreneur and Chairman of Robert Dyas and Ryman, welcomed over 700 guests plus comedic, musical and sporting stars to a Gala Ball in aid of Comic Relief. The event was held at Troxy in London, and saw a night of delicious food and fantastic entertainment, headlined by the one and only Gary Barlow.  The evening has helped Ryman and Robert Dyas to raise even more money towards their total, that will be announced on TV on Red Nose Day.

Gary Barlow wowed with all the favourites, including Relight My Fire, Pray and Rule the World and Fleur East kicked off the evening with favourites Sax and her version of Uptown Funk.  Comedy favourite Jason Manford compered throughout the evening and took the “make your laugh matter” slogan to a whole new level.

Fleur East said: “It was a great crowd in tonight at the Red Nose Day Gala Ball, and I’m thrilled to be part of a night that was so much fun and will ultimately help the people who need it most, in the UK and across the world.”

Host Theo Paphitis said: “Tonight has been a truly fantastic evening and I’ve never seen so many Red Noses in one place! The money raised here tonight will make a dramatic difference to those helped by Comic Relief, and I would like to personally thank the incredibly generous support from Gary, Fleur, Jason and Martin who have made tonight so special.”

Ex-England Rugby star Martin Bayfield helped to auction off once-in-a-lifetime lots including an original Love Actually 2 script from the highly anticipated sketch to be aired on Red Nose Day on 24th March. The Script was signed by director and founder of Comic Relief, Richard Curtis, and the entire cast including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Martine McCutcheon and Rowan Atkinson. This was bid for and won by Mrs P!
